Diassu Software has several opportunities for United States Immigrants and United States Citizens seeking employment in both New Orleans and throughout the Washington, DC area.   

Positions with highly specialized skills are listed individually below, but we are always looking for highly experienced (>8 years) Secret and Top Secret cleared individuals to fill roles in the U.S. Government.

Co-Founder

Great founders at Diassu Software have the following qualities or are working on gaining them within the next 3-6 months:

1. You have grit and thirst for knowledge of what we are doing, how we are doing it, but you try to stay in your lane until management asks you to step out of it. You can ask us if we would like you to step up or out?
2. You share our passion for the products that we build.
3. You can work on any task we give you even when you don’t know how to do it. You ask someone that knows to help you. You bring energy, persistence, focus and grit to the team unless you are really sick and then you should rest to get back your energy, focus etc. Others should understand and forgive this under reasonable circumstances. You could also be busy elsewhere, let us know so we can continue to work with us.
4. Above all, you have integrity and are as honest as possibly can be so that we don’t fall off of a cliff. We plan to be a DOD contractor that can support advanced clearances so the highest integrity is a must.
5. Part of integrity is admitting when you are wrong, and you won’t accept defeat for the team.
6. You like obsessive people like John M. Kruebbe and you might want to grow to work together with and be like him in some ways.   You inspire the rest of the management team in some great way.
7. By far not unimportant because we are a technical company, you should have some technical skills that match what you are trying to work on. If you are trying to learn, pair up with someone strong to get the learning and get you through it. We are more about getting the job done than how we did it. Persistence and success is the goal. People need to be motivated to win and be actually able to win with us!
8. You must somehow be clearable or cleared for a top secret clearance with the U.S. Government.
9. You can take on the financials and marketing of the company and run with them.
10. You likely have or are working on a MBA with a financial focus.

Lead Machine Learning Researcher

Please do not apply for the Lead Machine Learning contract role if you do not currently have at least an Active Interim U.S. Government Secret clearance.  The Junior Machine Learning contract role may be able to sponsor an Interim U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Diassu Software seeks a U.S. Citizen as a 1099 contract Machine Learning Researcher with a Focus on Deep Learning, Deep Neural Networks, TensorFlow Custom deep learning libraries and real time application development. Artificial Intelligence, Data Management, Data Mining, Data Cleansing, Data Interpolation, Data Manipulation, Python, R and Angular 7 front end development.  This is a full stack real-time developer plus Machine Learning opportunity!

Applicants should either already have at least a minimum of a Secret Clearance or must be someone that is a United States citizen that can obtain and maintain the Secret clearance. At a minimum, that means someone that does not or will not have issues with a bankruptcy, DUI or any issues with drug or alcohol abuse.


Your daily tasks would require you to perform one or more of the following:

• Expertise or applicable previous experience with Machine learning in the fields of Facial Recognition.
• Be able and open minded to creating models in any discipline required.
• Research and create new approaches to Machine Learning for required research area.
• Pick up whatever mathematical and programming skills that are required for creating the future of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.  
• Have some ideas where Machine Learning research is going long term and want to be there creating the new methods and ideas.
• Create high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms and code implementing your ideas.
• Be an expert with new ideas in machine learning, as demonstrated by one or more publications and six or more previous models.
• Cleanse, manipulate and transform data so that it is useful for importing to a scientific predictive model.
• Create and document the mathematical and probability theory behind the model.
• Create a working prototype for the model within 1 month of inception.
• Demonstrate the model to the customer.
• The positions are mostly initially remote, but will require travel to New Orleans and/or Washington DC during the two install phases of the project.
• Be willing to participate in a daily ~15-30 minute scrum meeting as well as some background/kick off and monthly status meetings.  We try to keep meetings to a minimum and often only those required by the customer.
• Understand how to work with Git and subversion in a team environment and understand how and when to fork and merge code with these tools.
• May be in charge of maintaining the Git repositories for your code or you might assist the lead to merge your code to the master branch.  
• Give it your best for 40 hours per week, but we sometimes work 12-hour days to meet Sprint velocity objectives so you would sometimes enjoy overtime work for overtime hours as well.
• Finally, it is important that you show a flexible attitude to the work environment that already exists inside the government.

The following skills would be very helpful to us:

• Angular 7 front end development.
• Proven Software development skills to prove your model does what its specs say.
• A deep appreciation and skill in working with other (possibly remote) team members of an Agile Scrum team.  
• Be able to make suggestions on how to improve team velocity and implement them as a backup scrum master.   
• Lead the daily scrum team in Jira or Team Foundation Server and possibly review the product backlog when needed.
• We would like to find someone who is very flexible in their work ethic and who would be open minded and not constrained to independently lead work, do documentation, do research, and do hands on development and/or application work.   
• Eventually, you will most likely lead a team to the next advancements in AI, so your skills in math and probability theory need to be recent, but you also need the proven skills and interest to play whatever role is necessary for the team to be a success.
• We will consider a recent Computer Science Masters graduate that shows great promise and interest in Machine Learning. Ideally, you should be thinking about or on your way to having an advanced Computer Science Degree with a focus in math and probability.
